Capsule Geology

The Rapid River occurrence is located along the Rapid River near Looncry Lake, about 113 kilometres northeast of the community of Dease Lake.

Lead-zinc mineralization is reported in Cambro-Ordovician Kechika Group metasediments comprising limestone, phyllite and siltstone. The mineralization is inferred to be galena and sphalerite; no other information is available.
